The standard equipment of the metal detector X-Terra-505 provides DD coil 10.5 inches by 7.5 KHz, which in itself is a big plus, since this frequency is considered universal. And the DD technology besides that reduces the number of admissions and reduces time of inspection of the chosen platform, also allows to feel surely on sites with strongly mineralized soil.

But this, of course, does not end with significant differences from the younger X-Terra 305.

In the metal detector X-Terra 505 already laid 3 detection frequencies that would change the frequency is simple enough to change the coil.

3 kHz-low frequency, allows you to detect targets at maximum depth. Feature working at low frequency, increasing the depth of large objects. All sorts of burials, cubes, treasures and the like-this is the element of coils at 3 kHz. Also, added depth on large and medium-sized coin, the truth is somewhat reduced on most small items. To date, there are coils with a frequency of 3 kHz in diameter from 6 inches to 15 inches.

Of 7.5 kHz – medium frequency, the most popular among hunters due to its versatility. In addition to the standard coil, which comes complete with the device itself, there is a huge selection of additional coils with this detection frequency, from 6-inch snipers to 15-inch rudders.

Of 18.75 kHz high frequency, designed just for finding small coins and other finds a small size. The detection depth is slightly less than, for example, a regular reel for large coins. But it is a coil of 18.75 kHz is most preferable to look for a little thing like scales or fine jewelry, it is also well suited for a search for the smallest gold nuggets. Coil with a frequency of 18, 75 kHz, a wide selection, ranging from the 6 inch “rogues”, for a long time known, and to the new 2013 coil Coiltek 15 inch.

The range of discriminator segments is significantly expanded in the X-Terra 505 metal detector, it has 19 of them, which is displayed on the screen.  Tuning from electromagnetic interference-manual (5 segments). The volume is now adjustable from 0 to 30. The ability to adjust the tone of the background is from -5 to 25. Interesting polyphony-1,2,3,4 tones or 19 tones. Stored user programs-3.

Among the disadvantages, it is possible to note the impossibility of automatic tuning from electromagnetic interference and soil. Although some consider it to be the manual setting most accurate. Also in this model there is no specialized mode for searching on the beach.
