49 Single Frequencies

Each frequency that can be used separately allows the detectorist to make a more narrow search more efficient.

Waterproof up to 65 feet

With such level of water resistancy, deeper diving is possible for the detectorists and therefore more possibilities for productive search.

DD Coils

The most efficient shape of the coil for highly mineralized soils and highly littered locations.

Multiple Dynamic Audio

Dynamic audio feature amplifies the small signals, and increases the sound response, to help the user see deeper targets.

Ground Tracking

Enables the metal detector to track the level of ground mineralization and additional characteristics, and modily the settings accordingly.

Motion and Non-Motion Modes

Make the metal detector’s performance more efficient for motion and non-motion detecting actions.

Frequency Shift

Allows the metal detector to avoid EMI and thus giving false signals to the user, by shifting the operating frequency within the search mode.

XP Deus II Metal Detector Overview

XP Deus II is a lightweight, ergonomic new metal detector following the state of the art technologies and design. With its S-shaped telescopic stem, Deus II allows using either the control box, or the headphones XP WS6 control panel, thus making the operation more convenient and customizable for the user. Deus II is even lighter and handier, plus, being completely wireless sets a new level of quality other manufacturers may struggle to catch up with. The search coil, the remote control, the headphones, and also the pinpointer can all be paired, and communicate with each other wirelessly, using the XP patented radio protocol system. This advanced system provides smooth performance and reduces the risks of damaging the whole thing.

Besides outstanding design and convenience, XP Deus II boasts features and specifications that can take hobby metal detecting to a completely new level, especially when it comes to complicated terrains. Its numerous available frequencies, a dozen search modes plus customizable slots, ground balance, discrimination, and other specifications promise a really productive search.

Control Box

Deus II Control Box

Deus II has a control box and also a remote control. Both work with the headphones, but the combination of remote control and the headphones create a convenient and handy pair that make metal detecting easier, because the metal detector becomes lighter when the control box is taken off.

Both control box and remote control work with any set of headphones – wired, wireless, and bone conduction headphones. When the control box is off, the metal detector can be controlled and tuned with the combined work of wireless headphones and remote control. The remote control can be kept in your pocket or fixed on the stem.

Search Modes

XP Deus II is said to have 12 factory search modes, and some slots for custom modes saved by the user.

General

40 kHz max, works well for beginners and experienced detectorists. Rejects moisture in soils, prevents false signals, and improves deep target search.

Sensitive

40 kHz max, very efficient search mode for all targets, especially in mineralized or polluted soils. Works well with small targets.

Sensitive Full Tones

40 kHz max, offers a richer sound range when working with different targets. Fits for more experienced users that prefer sound signals.

Fast

40 kHz max, uses square audio feature. Works similar to Sensitive, but offers faster response in highly mineralized, polluted, and ferrous soils.

Park

24 kHz max, for recreational areas that are not very polluted.

Deep High Conduction

14 kHz max, operates with very low and medium frequencies at the same time, to spot good conductivity targets.

Deus Mono

Monofrequency from 4 to 45 kHz, offering improved EMI rejection and audio quality.

Gold Field

40 kHz max, created for highly mineralized gold bearing soils. The mode works as all metals, but does not see gold nuggets as ferrous, and offers deep reach.

Relic

24 kHz max, works on highly mineralized grounds, but is intended for larger masses.

Diving

14 kHz max, the first and the most stable search mode for underwater and saltwater search. Uses low and medium frequencies, and is less responsive to less conductive targets.

Beach

24 kHz max, more sensitive to smaller targets. This search mode is perfect for wet areas, whatever the type of soil.

Beach Sensitive

40 kHz max, shows excellent performance with large and small targets alike, being the most reactive of all underwater modes, and also offering the deepest reach.

XP Deus II Features

XP Deus II has many expert features, settings, and tech specs that will make the search as efficient as possible. Of course this is not a beginner level machine, and the features listed below need some previous knowledge and expertise to make use of them. But when mastered and set correctly, they will allow the user to take advantage of the numerous variations of the settings combinations for all kinds of environments, locations, and targets.

Fast Multi Frequency

Fast Multi Frequency is an enhanced variation of the Multi Frequency technology that includes faster Recovery speed. The FMF allows the metal detector to scan the location using all available frequencies at the same time. This way, the metal detector works on its peak efficiency, reaching to different types of targets on different depths, and showing results faster. FMF technology not only increases the speed of metal detecting as such, and increases the efficiency of search showing all potential targets possible, it also provides as much information about each potential target as possible. FMF enables the search on any type of location, giving way broader opportunities for the user.

Single Frequencies

XP Deus II allows the treasure hunter to use any of the 49 single frequencies, separately. This means that the treasure hunter can adjust their settings to specific location, environment, depth, level of mineralization, or type of target, and focus on these specifications only. Such a narrow search removes the distractions created by other types of targets, and makes tuning of the metal detector very focused.

Remote Control

Since XP Deus II is one of the most versatile metal detectors in the segment, and it is all terrain metal detector, its range of settings suggests that the users will apply it on complicated grounds, and also underwater. Under any complicated search conditions, convenience and flexibility in operation are key, and this is why the remote control feature is so valuable for Deus II. Remote control box can be placed elsewhere than the metal detector itself, and thus be at one’s fingertips in a way comfortable and safer for the user. Shockproof and waterproof remote control is also good to have under poor visibility conditions or underwater, when holding it closer to the eyes is the only way to see the indications. Deus II provides an excellent Remote control feature for ultimate convenience.

XP Deus II Search Coils

The new XP Deus II has its own series of search coils, which are not compatible with the previous Deus, and the first Deus’ coils are not compatible with the new metal detector.

The new coils are XP FMF, and currently we know more about the 11 inches coil.

XP II FMF Coil

This coil is an 11 inches wireless and Fast Multi Frequency search coil, that works with 49 frequencies. The battery life is around 20 hours, but that depends on the search modes and frequencies used, and also partially on the surroundings.

The coil is completely waterproof up to 65 feet, has a coil cover, and holds a 5 years warranty. The weight is 470 gr.

XP Deus II Accessories

XP WS6 Wireless Headphones

XP WS6 headphones represent the newer generation of wireless headphones by XP. These are not only headphones, they also work as a remote control box, being able to connect to the coil. This way, the detectorist can use a super lite version of Deus II, and enjoy the utmost convenience and flexibility.

The user can mount the WS6 module on the stem and actually use it as a mini control box, to have access to all the settings. In fact, the detectorists will be able to use any of the 3 combinations:

The XP WS6 specifications are as follows:

BH-01 Bone Conduction Headphones

The very first accessory that should be paid huge attention to is of course the innovative, groundbreaking bone conduction headphones for XP Deus II. This technology has never been used in the hobby metal detecting niche before. The XP BH-01 are waterproof up to 65 feet.

Bone conduction headphones are perfect for diving, because they conduct the sound signal directly to the inner ear through the cheekbone, without eardrums involved. This technology gives a list of advantages:

XP Deus II Kit

The new XP Deus II will be available in two configurations.

DEUS2-22FMFRCWS6 variation will contain:

The DEUS2-28FMFRCWS6 will have all the same but an 11 inches search coil instead.

Conclusion

Considering all the tech specs we already know, and all the features promised for XP Deus II, this new metal detector is a new milestone for the whole metal detecting industry. However, it is a bit pricey, too, which immediately causes many questions from the Deus fans. Anyways, we should all wait until the new XP Deus II becomes available on the market and we can get our hands on it, plus, when we are able to ask other detectorists’ opinions. Whatever the tech specs described on paper, any metal detector is only good when it’s good in the field.
